Projects and Research
Everything I am currently working on, from a liquid engine that has to fire to a Riccati recursion that has to converge.
Engineering
Vehicle design and the analysis tools behind it.
N₂O / Ethanol Hot-Fire Simulator
A browser-based hot-fire model covering blowdown feed dynamics, combustion thermodynamics and nozzle performance. Ported from MATLAB and rebuilt around a combustion solver that conserves atoms.
6-DOF Flight Simulator
Six-degree-of-freedom trajectory simulation with Monte Carlo dispersions, impact footprint contours, stability margin tracking and sensitivity ranking.
ODIN Debris Detection Constellation
A nine-satellite constellation with an event-camera payload for detecting orbital debris smaller than 3 cm in situ, built and tested as an integrated flatsat. I am the Power Subsystem Lead, and wrote the orbit and power model behind the power budget.
Research
Undergraduate research at CU Boulder.
Learning Equilibria in Differential Games
A Julia package applying MADDPG to differential games, plus an exact stochastic linear-quadratic Nash solver built to give the learner something rigorous to be measured against. The solver’s output is now certified as a true equilibrium, and a cross-play test showed an apparent training plateau was an artefact of how it was measured. Paper in preparation for the Journal of Open Source Software.
Spatial Disorientation Countermeasures
A real-time model of pilot perception that triggers a flight display at the moment disorientation occurs. In lab testing it eliminated boundary violations entirely, with no cost to secondary-task performance.
Earlier
Where the simulation habit started.
Formula 1 Race Simulator
A lap-by-lap race simulation driven by real car telemetry rather than invented ratings, with tyre wear, pit strategy and retirements. Built for A-Level computer science.
